We had a day full of things to do and not a lot of time to do it. True to my style I wait until the last minute to do everything. I bribed Emily to keep an eye on Ava this morning so I could get some cleaning done. Once all that was done Emily and I decided we wanted to make some puppy chow( the chocolaty Chex mix stuff). Of course, we didn't have any of the stuff so I asked Matt if he would run to Wal Mart on his way home from work. Evil, I know.
We decided to get wild and crazy and make some ranch Chex too.
Since I exhausted myself with all the Chex cooking, I had Emily make the cookies for Santa. I hope I am creating some loving memories by having her open the cookies and plop them on the tray.
Emily and Ava got to open one present this evening. Emily chose to open one that was sent by her Uncle James and Aunt Amanda. They have great taste! The clothes are adorable!
We are all watching Elf( I forgot how hilarious this movie is) and will head to bed soon. I am tired but the good kind of tired. Matt and I were talking after dinner saying how this Christmas Eve seems a bit easier than last. We are both so grateful for Emily, Ava, the time we did have with Kev, family, friends and each other.
