When I told Ava that we were going to go apple picking she responded with such enthusiasm that you would think we were headed to Disney World. Her response was a little puzzling as I am sure she doesn't remember going last year. In retrospect I think she heard "apple" and was just excited about eating some. And eat apples she did. Like six of them. In an hours time.
The orchard, just down the road from our house, is beautiful.
This is apple number one. It took her about 2.5 seconds to procure said apple.
Emily was our serious apple picker. She picked about 20 of the 27 pounds of apples that we ended up with.
I won't lie, the top picture of Ava was set up, she was not as interested in picking apples as she was eating and throwing them. And yes, we put a stop to the throwing of apples. After we got a picture, of course.
Apple number three- I think..
Apple number four…..
Once we were pretty sure we had twenty pounds of apples, the minimum amount required to pick-your-own, we headed back to the tractor for a ride back.
The apple orchard also has a few animals which we, of course, had to go over and visit.
The day would not be complete without Ava pilfering some of the rocks(aka gravel) from the farm. This kid has rocks from all over the county in her collection- most of it currently residing in the back seat of our SUV.
It was a beautiful day spent with my beautiful family.

Wonderful! Thanks for sharing. So neat to see these pictures.
LOL I saw the Jacob's sheep and immediately told my bf I always wanted one. His response? Huh? Not being raised a farm kid, he had no clue what I was talking about... lol.
Really lovely photos. :)
